Near mint 100% original survivor. 1985 Westfalia (full camper). This van has just over 65k original miles (25,000 of those miles were being towed behind a motor home so the actual mileage is closer to 40k original miles). Factory working AC. I purchased this van in Eugene Oregon, from the family of the 85 year old owner. The reason they decided to sell was because they were no longer able to drive the van. The original elderly owner took excellent care of this van. The van has been garaged since it was purchased in 1985. Power steering, manual transmission. This Vanagon spent most of its life in sunny dry California, (the van still has original blue California plates). The van has 100% ORIGINAL paint. The paint looks almost brand new... No rust or seam rust. The undercarriage is spotless clean. The van has been meticulously maintained since new. I have all original books, manuals, sales broacher, ect. The interior is near mint. Runs and drives like a new car.

***Sold*** 1985 Westfalia. 65k Original Miles, Near Mint 100% Original Survivor.

***Please note, this Baja has never been raced, jumped or in sand. I have only used it for a sunny day driver and to take to car shows. It has never been driven in rain. The undercarriage is spotless... The Baja now has only 1500 miles, all of those miles were to car shows or short drives to keep every thing in good working order.

1967 Baja. First place winner at the biggest VW car show in the North West. The build was started in the mid eighties by the original owner and I completed it in 2011 after I purchased the bug. I bought the Baja with only 60 miles on it. that's right.... It was only driven 60 miles from 1985 to the time I bought it in 2011. Custom built 1835, custom ported and polished heads. The motor has all the best parts... This was a spare no expense, money is no object build. Weber carbs, custom intake, built bus transmission, MSD ignition, K&N filter, K&N sand filter, custom oil cooler, complete custom cage, king pin suspension, adjustable Fox gas shocks up front with remote reservoirs, custom built tubular front suspension that ties in to the full roll cage and rear engine cage. Custom hand built wiring harness, four adjustable nitrogen Fox shocks in rear with remote reservoirs. Sway Away swing arms, custom modified. Custom heavy duty racing axles. Original mint Sand Blaster tires front and rear (99% tread). 5 point racing seat belt harness driver and passenger. Way too many modifications to list. This baja is set up for racing or baja competition. Hundreds of hours went into this build over a 28 year period... This baja is a throw back to the eighties with all period correct parts. With under 1500 miles to date on this baja, I guess you can say its the true definition of a time capsule as well...

Paint and body- This was a complete bare metal, pan off rotisserie repaint to show quality. The under carriage was fully painted and detailed and is spotless. No expense was spared. The wing windows were removed and replaced with a sold piece of glass. This Bug has never had any rust as the build was started in the mid 80's and started with a completely rust free car. Custom professionally built full roll cage front to rear, and tubular front suspension.

Interior- Mint original racing seats, very comfortable. Full 5 point racing harness. Full custom VDO gauges. ( oil pressure, oil temp, clock, volt meter, tach, speedometer, gas gauge). Racing toggle switches for all electrical accessories. All interior panels are aluminum. Nice white vinyl head liner.

Other- Custom built aluminum gas tank. The filler has been relocated and was frenched in for a clean factory look. Original Jackman 2 piece racing wheels. Original Sand Blaster (made in the 80's, these are not made any more). The tires in mint shape as it was always stored on jack stands in doors. The tires have no cracking ect. 99% tread. I have been offered $3,000 for the tires alone. Original KC lights up front. Racing gas, clutch, and brake pedal assembly. Brand new Optima battery. Racing aluminum steering column, with vintage VW racing steering wheel. Removable window nets.

Motor and Transmission- Custom built 1835, custom ported and polished heads. The motor has all the best internals and parts. Weber carbs, custom intake, MSD ignition, K&N filter, K&N oil breather (sand filter), custom remote oil cooler mounted inside the cab mounted to the roll bar. Tri Mill Exhaust. I also have a removable flow master muffler that mounts to the tri mill set up. The transmission was completely rebuilt using a bus transmission perfectly geared for the 31 inch Sand blaster tires (custom gear ratios). Race Empi short shifter with reverse lock out. All lines are steel braded using custom anodized threaded connections. Original Race tech finned aluminum valve covers.

I never had any plans of ever selling this Baja. It is one of a king and a blast to drive. This has been in my car collection for the last 5 years. It is featured on my web site and mentioned in Hot VW magazine. Make no mistake this is a full race show car. The build was started in the mid eighties and not finished in till 2012 after I purchased it. When I bought the car it only had 60 miles on it, it now has 1500 miles and has never seen rain, sand or any racing. This Baja has all period correct parts as it was built back in the day. One of a kind Baja. All work was done by the best of the best in the VW industry. I was told it had over 15k in 1980's money invested in the build, take inflation into consideration and it gives you an idea of the build quality... I am regretfully selling as it hardly gets driven. Although I have tried to be through in my description, there is much that has been left out as this was a custom one off build. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

1973 VW Transporter. I bought this van from the previous owner who had spent the last 4 years restoring this bus. 95% done (the only thing needed to finish is to complete the motor rebuild). All the hard work is done.... The body was completely stripped down to a bare shell. All windows were removed. The van was then completely repainted inside and out. The engine bay and inner wheel wells were also painted using a heavy duty bed liner type paint (see pictures). All of the window seals were replaced as well as most of the glass including brand new sliding camping windows. This van was a good running and driving van before the restoration. The motor had low compression on cylinders 1 and 2. The motor was disassembled. Heads were checked and were in excellent condition. The lower end was in good condition so the block was not taken apart or case split. All the motor needs is a fresh set of rings or just replace cylinders one and two. Upon disassembly, all of the parts were meticulously marked, labeled and bagged to make reassembly easy. All parts are there, nothing is missing. My intentions were to finish the van but I have several other projects I'm working on so I decided to sell this van.

1971 VW bus "tin top" camper. Good running rebuilt 1600 c.c. dual port motor. Brand new adjustable front beam with all new bushings, ball joints, ect. Rear safari window and luggage rack. Brand new tires, fresh alignment and tune up. Over $2,000 just spent on repairs. New stainless steel brake lines, brakes, upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, fuel lines, Empi racing shifter, rebuilt shift linkage, new steering dampener, the CV boots were replaced and repacked, new fuel filter, fuel lines, rebuilt carb, new inner and outer wheel bearings, seals front and rear. The complete front floor was professionally replaced (with reproduction metal replacement floor panels). The lower windshield area was replaced with a metal reproduction panel as well. A new windshield and window seal was then installed. The complete interior of the van has been updated with sound deadening material through out. The van is solid, however there is some bubbling on the lower rockers and wheel well area. There is a z bed in back as well as camping sliding windows and storage cabinets. The front seats are in good condition. Clean Washington title. This van runs and drives excellent and would make a great daily driver.

1971 is considered by most the best year of the VW bus. 1971 is the first year of disc brakes, last year of the upright bug type motor, and last year of the much beloved early low light early bumper body style. This is not a fully restored bus. It does however have a lot of character and a nice patina. With the rebuilt motor it cruises at free way speeds easily. The bus has been properly lowered so it handles nice, (much better than stock). The bus has a few bumps and bruises but has been well cared for over the years. This bus has a lot of character and attitude to boot.

1978 seven passenger transporter. Very solid, dry 99% rust free van. The only rust on the entire van is on the passenger side battery tray area. There is no rust anywhere else. There is no sign of any accident history. Solid and clean rust free undercarriage. The factory undercoating is in excellent condition. Stock 2 liter hydraulic valve fuel injected motor. The van was a great daily driver and in excellent running condition before it was parked. The van will need the gas tank pulled, cleaned and resealed as well as new fuel lines and a battery. I believe this is the best or at minimum one of the best original Westfalia's in the world. This is a mint museum quality example.

Featured (Preservation). Purchased new under the Euro delivery program on February 17th 1978 from Westfalia Were in Wiendebrueck Germany. The original purchase price according to the window sticker was $10,432.01 usd. Mint Condition, 1 owner, museum quality 1978 Westfalia euro delivery with original paint!!! Factory AC van. Very rare automatic. New 2 liter fuel injected hydraulic valve motor, rebuilt automatic transmission (I have all records). This van was also ordered with the California emissions and still retains its original plaque next to the original Westfalia serial number sticker. I love driving the automatic late model Westy's, there is nothing like it...Mint interior (all original). Original German plates, mint Westfalia tent, original title, original manuals, paperwork and all accessories! Original window sticker and tourist delivery window sticker from Germany!!! I picked this van up from the original owner who bought this van in Germany new under the euro delivery program. She is now 97 and can no longer drive the van. Before I bought the van the original owner brought it to the shop and had them do what ever repairs it needed to drive cross country. This was important to her for the new owner to not have to do any work to the van. The repair did over $2000 in work to make it "cross country road trip ready". The original owner traveled across Germany in 1978 for several months, then had the van shipped back to Washington where it stayed. The van has been garaged since 1978 and was treated like a member of the family. This van has only 116k fully documented original miles. I have a stack of over 100 pages of maintenance records in chronological order since 1979. This van recently had a brand new motor installed by a professional air cooled VW shop at around 98k miles. The new motor cost over $4000. Absolutely ZERO RUST!!! The van was stored for many years, started up and driven every couple weeks to keep seals fresh. Runs, drives, perfect. One of the best, If not the best original Westfalias in existence.

ORIGINAL WESTFALIA ACCESSORIES- *** The van has the original mint factory Westfalia tent, og child's cot, og storage stool, og front curtain, og gas cap, og head rests, og hub caps, and bug screen. I am also in the process of searching for the extremely rare Westfalia trash can that goes in the storage stool. All accessories listed are in mint condition. I bought the van fully stocked with every thing you need to go camping, ie; antique bowls, cups, silverware, plates, teapot, saw, hatchet, cleaning bucket (to much to list). You name it its in there and all from the late 70's. The van also came with a antique fishing tackle box filled with hundreds of dollars worth of rare old fishing tackle, fishing reals, knifes, hooks ect...

*** UPDATE *** - I tracked down the correct yellow trash can with lid. I also got the a super rare factory (accessory) polyethylene blue 5 liter gas can part number 000 093 031 out of a 78 transporter I recently purchased.

PAINT/ BODY- The original paint (Dakota Beige) is in MINT condition. The body and door gaps perfect. This van looks like it rolled of the factory floor in 1978. The van has always been garaged. Paint is stunning. I had a professional body shop polish the original paint to a mirror finish. All original Sigla glass. Even the windshield is OG. NEVER WRECKED OR DAMAGED. MINT Floors. The paint is still as new. Zero surface rust. This van is absolutely 101% rust free. I had the original rims sandblasted and powder coated the factory silver color as well as the original bumpers sandblasted and powder coated the original correct off white.

POPTOP- The pop top is in excellent condition for its age. The upper bunk upholstery is in mint condition and has never been used. There is no mildew stains typical on the underside of the pop top.

INTERIOR- This interior is in like new mint condition. All of the seats have no rips or wear. I did replace the driver side seat cushion bottom with the correct coconut fiber pad. I also had the seat bottom only plaid material replaced as there was a small wear spot in the original fabric. I used exact reproduction material to replace the seat bottom. Swivel seats only found on later Westfalias. All of the cabinets are mint, no chips, cracks, scuffs ect. The carpet is mint with no wear. The original owner made carpet covers over the original carpet back in 79 so the original carpet is mint/pristine.. All dome lights, dash lights, camping lights work. The dash is in perfect condition with no cracks. The heater works great. All electrical works perfect. Factory table that goes between driver and passenger seats. The head liner, door panels are mint (the entire interior is in mint original condition). All camping gear, fridge and propane works as it should. Original working Motorola radio and speaker.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION- This bus has only 116,000 fully documented original miles. The original automatic transmission was fully rebuilt and resealed (have receipt). Low miles on the new engine, at a cost over $4000. I have the receipts for the new engine. 2 liter fuel injected motor that runs perfect with plenty of power. Brand new front brakes, calipers and hoses. New rear brakes and wheel cylinders. New fuel and vac lines, fuel filter, repacked wheel bearings, plugs, cap rotor, fresh oil change. Updated electronic ignition. New, motor mounts, engine seal, throttle cable, fuel pump, battery and much more. (The bus runs, drives, shifts, stops perfect.) I have all receipts for all work listed above. This bus is ready for cross country driving.

OTHER- Brand new Toyo 185 r 14 truck rated tires tires ($600). The floor boards look perfect - paint looks new. The undercarriage has all factory under coating great condition. The under carriage is dry and clean with ZERO RUST. The van has dual batteries so one can be used for camping, lights, fridge ect. with out draining the main battery. Phillips inverter. New KYB gas shocks front and rear, new cv boots. The original AC pump was removed so I am sourcing a replacement. All of the original hoses, wires, condensers, ect are present. Original keys. One key fits all locks.

MANUALS,  ACCESSORIES & PROVENANCE- I have the original title from 1978 still in the original owners name and original dealer maintenance log book with every stamp!! Original Manchester propane manual, Motorola radio manual, Dometic fridge manual, as well as original ice cube trays, Cool AC manual and warranty card, Phillips inverter manual, Michelin tire manual, range (stove) manual, dealer manual, original Euro delivery window sticker/sales contract, gas mileage log. The van also comes with a stack of vintage maps of the Pacific North West.

DEQ (Smog)- This van just passed DEQ. This van passed each time. The van came with all California equipped smog equipment with California compliance decal and smog equipment from the factory.

This is the absolute definition of a time capsule in every way... One of the best Westfalias in existence!!! I have owned over 100 buses, been to many VW shows. This Westfalia tops all the bay windows I have ever seen or owned....This is not your average Westfalia. This bus is in mint museum quality collector condition. This is as close as you can get to a brand new Westfalia as you can get. The original owner took amazing care of this van. The van has only been driven driven sparingly since new. This bus has always been garaged since new, no really garaged since new..... The interior is in amazing shape and in mint original condition. This bus is a time capsule that you just don't see every day. NO RUST, no wrecks in over 37 years! 1979 was the last year of the much sought after air cooled bay windows with the 2 liter fuel injected motor. The van is loaded with just about every factory option you could get in 79. Mint original paint. Documented 116k original miles. The van could pass as a 16k original mile van, its that nice...I have countless hours into the preservation and detailing of this bus.... This van would be the perfect center piece for any VW collection.

1967 California Road Runner Camper. This is the walk thru model. I bought this van from the same owners since 1981, they were the second owners . They purchased the van on December 3, 1981 with 51,000 original miles on it (I have the bill of sale). The van now has a total of 83,958 original miles which is fully documented buy the meticulous repair records that came with the van. This is the true definition of a barn find survivor. The van has meticulous records and maintenance and repair history from 1981 to 1995 when it was parked in a garage for over 20 years ( I have a stack of records/repair receipts) as well as the original Washington license plates, factory manuals and books. The van was parked in 1995 due to the brake system needing replacement. The van never left the garage and was stored for the last 20 years. The van has not seen the light of day in till 2016 when I purchased it. Right before its long hibernation/storage the motor was completely rebuilt. The rebuilt motor has less than 6000 miles on it. I have the receipt for that as well. I just invested over $5,000 into going through the van from top to bottom. I did all repairs necessary for being off the road and not driven for 20+ years . The van now runs and drives excellent. The van is 99% rust free. The only area of (minor) corrosion is in the passenger side battery tray. The van is an original time capsule. The van has had only one repaint to its factory original color. The interior is original and in excellent condition. Perfect wood headliner. The interior cabinets are excellent as seen in the pictures. The rear seat/ z bed, jump seat and rear cushion all have new upholstery. The inside of the van is in remarkable condition. Not very many barn find survivors are left any more making this a rare and unique find....

*** Sold *** 1971 Sunroof Deluxe. New Motor, Excellent Driver.
1971 sunroof deluxe. The 1971 sunroof is a very rare and desirable bus. This bus has had a new motor installed recently (I have the receipt). The motor is a very rare Brazilian 1600 cc up right motor with factory hydraulic valves. Not too many were brought into the U.S. due to the motor being more expensive than a non hydraulic valve motor. The motor also came stock with a oil filter system. New fuel and vacuum lines, clutch, pressure plate, clutch cable, and throw out bearing. The motor has been updated with electronic ignition (no more points). I just installed a brand new battery with a two year warranty. Fresh tune up. New Solex carb. The transmission was pulled and a new nose cone was installed as well as new shift bushings. The transmission shifts perfect. Although the van is very solid, the van has rust in both front floor corners, minor rust on the lower rockers, a small area behind right rear wheel and battery tray.. The rust is purely cosmetic and is not structural. The inner rockers, belly pans, jack points and undercarriage are excellent. The nose does not appear to ever been hit. The front seats have newer upholstery and are in good condition. The van runs and drives excellent. The body has some dents and imperfections. The van comes with its original middle seat. The van also has a rear Z-bed. The fold down Z-bed does need cushions and upholstery. 1971 is considered by most the best year bay window VW ever made. 1971 was the first year of factory front disc brakes, last year of the upright bug type motor, and last year of the desirable early bumper, low light body style. This would be a great daily driver or a solid foundation for a full restoration. Clean Washington title in hand.

1974 Safare' Camper. 142,000 original miles. 2 owner van. This is a time capsule low mile survivor in excellent original condition. My goal with this bus was to do a preservation with the goal of keeping the bus as original as possible. The bus is all original with the exception of one repaint, new front seat upholstery, and new door panels. Rare factory A/C and factory working propane furnace. The Safare' camper has been garaged most of its life and it shows in its well preserved state. The bus has had only one repaint in its factory rare and desirable Kasan Red (L30-B). There were few Safare' campers made, and even fewer of them exist today, especially with the interior in tact and in near mint condition. This van is more like a motor home than your typical VW camper. The van sleeps 4 (2 below and 2 up top on a slide out bunk). The van has ample storage compared to a standard pop top camper. The rear seat also converts into a sectional style dinette or seating area for 4. The bus has seat belts for 4. It has a on board potable water (11 gallon tank) and a factory rare grey water tank (12 gallon) with a sink (similar to a RV). It has a 2 burner propane stove and super rare factory propane furnace with adjustable thermostat. The propane heater (furnace) works! New correct truck rated Hankook RA08 tires. The van has its super rare awning with its ultra rare factory tent . There are window coverings for every window. Notice the attached and stow-able side entry step and propane tank. This was originally a southwest bus (Arizona), so there is no rust at all, any where... The interior is in near mint original condition and has all of the factory accessories including the factory upper window screens, charming interior lights, rare factory accessories including but not limited to; metal pot that is used to heat water on the stove. The metal pot has a spicket. The pot hangs on a hook about 24 inches above the sink, so essentially you can have "hot running water". This is a ingenious idea/design feature in my opinion. The front floors are mint and the paint still looks new under the rubber mat.

Approx. 50k miles on new not rebuilt Tico motor. Factory A/C van, power windows, and door locks. This van runs, drives, looks exceptional and needs nothing. One of the best original paint low mile Syncro's on the market.

Motor- Professionally installed Tico motor. This was a new motor, not a rebuild. The motor has approx. 50k miles on it. At the time of the motor upgrade the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced. The van runs excellent with plenty of power (a much better improvement over the stock motor). The van has been meticulously serviced/maintained.

Paint & Body- Always garaged. This is a no stories original paint van. The paint over all is in excellent condition say for a few dings and scratches. The body has no rust or seam rust as its been a Eastern Oregon and Montana van since new.

Interior- The interior is in near mint condition. Dual swivel seats. Perfect dash. The seat upholstery shows little to no wear. The interior cabinetry is like new. The stove, fridge, and sink all work well. The van just received a full interior and exterior detail.

Pop Top- The pop top canvas is original and in excellent condition. There is no rips, stains, or the typical mold/mildew on the underside head liner.

Other- This is a factory A/C van, however the A/C was not hooked back up after the motor conversions. Every thing is in place, just needs to be hooked back up. New Fiamma awning, updated shocks front and rear, new front coil springs. New front axles, dual battery set up with Optima battery. BFG A/T tires with 90%+ tread. Trailer hitch, block heater. Inboard battery charger.

1971 Deluxe transporter w/ factory A/C. Only two owners from new. 55k original miles. Original blue Oregon plates. One key fits all locks. Over $7500 in receipts included. This van spent almost its entire life in dry southern Oregon were it was always garaged. The Original owner who did the conversion was a air plane mechanic/engineer. He removed the stock VW motor and updated it with the Ford motor using the stock VW transmission. All work is top notch. Built 1974 Ford (Pinto) 2 liter motor. The motor conversion was professionally done. All parts came from Esslinger Engineering in San Gabriel California. Esslinger Engineering is the best in the country when it comes to built four cylinder Ford motors, racing motors and adapters.... Esslinger Engineering is well known for a lot of the VW sand rail conversions. NOTHING was cut, this is a completely bolt on set up. The engineering is impressive on this build to say the least. This bus has factory A/C that is adapted to the Ford A/C compressor. This van also has an updated heater and heater core that works like a traditional water cooled vehicle. Thousands of dollars have gone into this bus. I do have all receipts for all work done. This bus runs and drives excellent with awesome power/performance. The bus comes with all paper work, general maintenance parts list, specs, and manuals for the motor conversion. This is a special bus, not for the purist.... Perfect for some one who wants the power, drive ability, gas mileage, comfort, and reliability of a newer car with out all the draw backs from a traditional low horse power air cooled motor.

1987 Westfalia Syncro. Low mile one owner, original paint, Factory A/C and rear locker. I picked this van up from the original elderly owner who purchased it new. This van has lived its inter life in North West Washington. This van has been in the same family since new. The original owner had never taken the Syncro off road. The van has been garaged from the day it was purchased in 1987. The van is in mint near showroom condition. The van was always meticulously maintained and babied. (All records included) by the original owner, and myself. The original paint is absolutely stunning and 100% original as is the mint interior. Of all of the Vanagons I have seen or owned this is by far the best. Because this van was garaged and very rarely driven in the rain there is no absolutely no rust. The van only had 148k original miles on it when I purchased it. The van now has 153,500 miles. The van was completely stock when I bought it. I had Small Car performance install a 2011 Subaru Impreza motor with 19k miles. The motor was pulled out of a wrecked car, I did save the Subaru emblem of the donor car and install it on the rear hatch of the Vanagon for good luck. All work was done by Small Car Performance, the best shop in the North West and one of the best in the country in my opinion. I have all documentation and receipts for the motor conversion and all work that is listed below. The motor conversion was over $15k alone... Clean car fax that documents ownership history.
